Welcome to Melina Therapy, home to private and confidential counselling, coaching and wellness therapy. Encompassing 30 years' of my experience working within mental health, with clients, who have presented with a wide range of emotional, relationship and lifestyle issues, from anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, to more complex childhood issues and trauma.
I have expertise in addictions, relationships, sexual assault, rape, trauma and PTSD. With experience of working with children, young people, adults, families and group dynamics.
I offer Integrated Therapy from a Trauma Informed Practice, so you can feel safe and supported with your emotional and psychological care and wellbeing. I take an holistic approach to treat the person as a 'whole' rather than just the issues that they are presenting with.
I provide single session,
short to longer term therapy, to enable each client to work at a pace and duration that suits them.
Integrating counselling with coaching techniques and mindfulness interventions, to develop grounding techniques, peace, calmness and healthy mind and body connections.

Melina Therapy is a trauma informed practice, where I have had extensive experience and training working directly with the impact of trauma.
I work from an Integrative approach, which is drawn from a unique blend of modalities, including; Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Solution Focused Therapy. As each person is unique, I create bespoke individualised therapy and support to meet each persons needs.
As pain, fear and anxiety sits in our mind and body and may express itself through our behaviours I may introduce techniques and interventions to manage stress and depression more effectively and so that you can maintain your wellbeing post therapy.
Depression and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling, I can help you recover motivation, perspective and find the joy that you seek or once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. With expertise in trauma and PTSD I can help you come to terms with your feelings and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counselling can be extremely beneficial to individuals and couples who are experiencing problems and want to resolve issues in their relationship. Or maybe looking to strengthen their emotional connection. Therapy sessions are a safe space to explore issues and solutions to better your relationship and because I am trained and impartial to both of you.
